The city of Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, and Xiamen, another provincial city, have joined China's list of culture and science integration demonstration bases, news.fznews.com.cn has reported, on Jan 2.
The list is the work of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Culture, the Central Propaganda Dept, and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
Fuzhou's culture and science integration base is in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone and covers the main urban area and new area and is expected to attract culture and technology industries with their features and creativity in the coming year. It is also expected to become a major hub of culture, technology, and science.
The other cities on the integration base list are Nanjing and Wuxi, in Jiangsu province; Guangzhou, Guangdong province; Changchun, Jilin province; Dalian, Liaoning province; Nanchang, Jiangxi province; Ningbo and Hengdian, Zhejiang province; Kunming, Yunnan province; Luoyang, Henan province; Erdos,Inner Mongolia autonomous region; Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region; Chengde, Hebei province; Taiyuan, Shanxi province; Mianyang, Sichuan province; and Guiyang, Guizhou province.
